Our Summer Program offers an incredible opportunity to experience what a career in law truly entails. You’ll dive into real client matters, gaining invaluable hands-on experience. You’ll also have the chance to observe or participate in closings, document drafting, client meetings and negotiation sessions. Working alongside our talented teams, you’ll experience our ‘one-firm’ global culture, explore various practice areas and collaborate with our lawyers.
Curated Experience: As a summer associate, you’ll work on topics that interest you. Instead of being assigned to a specific lawyer, you’ll receive work based on your preferences. We will provide you with work assignments, but you’ll also be encouraged to seek out work informally by connecting with partners and associates in your preferred practice area. This approach helps you identify where your true interests lie.
Comprehensive Support: We strive to make our Summer Program as beneficial as possible. You’ll receive personalized performance feedback, connect with advisors from various practice areas and have access to formal training programs. Each summer associate is paired with two mentors—one partner and one associate—who provide one-on-one guidance, helping you navigate law firm life and ensuring you work with a variety of lawyers. Our Recruiting Committee maintains an ‘open door’ policy, always ready to offer advice and support.
Feedback: We understand the importance of feedback for aspiring lawyers. Beyond formal feedback meetings, you’re encouraged to seek informal feedback from the lawyers you work with.
Your Development: Our Summer Program is a chance to gain valuable exposure and build your network. Each practice area offers presentations about its work, and our lawyers host practice area breakfasts, luncheons, seminars and/or social events. You’ll have the opportunity to discuss deals and transactions with the people directly responsible for them.
